Good morning! I hope you had a great weekend & you're off to a good week.
Saturday started with a run with Kristina (my favorite way to start a Saturday).
I wore my new long-sleeve running shirt from my friends at 1st Step Pro-Wellness. I really like it!
Then I had to come home & bundle up a little more so that I could take Ruger for a walk.
Morning walks are so great for him. He usually has more energy than one little beagle really needs, but after a walk he's much more relaxed. I think a few humans I know could stand to learn this lesson.
We got in the car to go and visit our favorite vet-techs so that Ruger could have his nails trimmed.
By the way, I realize that you can trim your own dog's nails. I'm not doing it. It makes me too nervous and he likes going to the vet anyway. Totally worth the money to me.
I snapped this picture in the waiting room. We think he looks like he's posing for it. ha!
So yesterday I started my newest adventure- P90X3.
I had been doing a lot of flip-flopping lately about whether or not to sign up for the half marathon here in my hometown in July. I ultimately decided not to do it with the help of Ellen, my dear friend and chiropractor. (The method she used to help me discern my thoughts is nothing short of amazing, but that's another post.)
So, I needed a new challenge.
After a lot of reading and talking with friends who have tried this program I decided to go for it. This is the latest incarnation of P90X and the workouts are 30 minutes long. I figured I could handle that and still get outside for a run when I felt like it.
I started yesterday with the first DVD and started feeling the soreness by dinnertime. Today I'm not as sore as I expected to be and I'll tackle the Agility X DVD as soon as I've sent everyone off to school.
Then I might wear my hat around just to be cool. ha!
What's your latest challenge?
