February Food - A Reading List for You!

I have been accused of being an over-hobbier.  I love to run, do yoga & knit.  I'm a professional musician, but I still think that music is a hobby.  And I love to read.  I'm constantly looking for new books (fiction & non-fiction), magazines, blogs… I'll read anything I can get my grubby hands on!

I love books about food- especially if they include recipes and pictures of the food.

So, here's a little reading list for you.

Here are a few of my favorite Food-related reads to keep you busy
for the month of February.

Foodie Books I'm Loving:

You've heard me go on and on about this diet.  It's not Paleo- Hayley does allow Ezekiel bread & a few other grains but the wheat has to go.  This book is full of real food and how to use it to heal your metabolism. Love it.

And now there's a cookbook to go with it!
he first book had plenty of recipes, but now there are more.

If you've been sold the line that Weight Loss = Calories in - Calories burned and you still can't lose weight, you just have to read this book.  It will completely change the way you look at the obesity problem in our great nation.

If you feel like you need to give up all grains, this is a great book.  Loads of good advice on filling your body with quality foods.

Blog Posts I Love...

Things to Eat While You're Screaming at Your TV from Peas & Crayons.  Her posts are funny, her pictures are gorgeous & her food is delicious.  What else do you need in a foodie blogger?  This post is full of goodies for your Super Bowl party.

4 Ways to Stop Eating a Million Calories Every Night from Jill Coleman. I love Jill's approach to a lean lifestyle.  She encourages readers to strive for a good diet- not a perfect one.

How to Get More Vegetables in Your Diet from Rocky at Rockbody Fitness.
She's my online personal trainer.  Her advice is straight-forward and no nonsense.
