The Pumpkin Spice Bar Recipe, Some New Yoga & The Week in Review

Hi friends! I'm doing a little Sunday night fly-by here on the blog!

Several people asked for the Pumpkin Spice Protein Bar recipe and I'm here to deliver.
Warning- you may need to hide these from your kids.
Mine act like they're brownies or something.


Pumpkin Spice Protein Bars
Ingredients:
1 Cup Oat Flour
2 Scoops Vanilla Whey Protein Powder
2 tsp cinnamon 
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp allspice
1/8 tsp nutmeg
4 egg whites
3/4 cup Stevia
8 oz Pumpkin Puree (NOT pumpkin pie filling!)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Mix all ingredients. Spray an 8x8 Pyrex pan with non-stick spray.  Pour batter into the dish.  Bake 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

On a fitness note, I received my copy of Yoga Warrior 365 this weekend. I'm so excited to try these new DVDs from the same company that brought me Ultimate Yogi 108.


Today I did the first video entitled "The Gathering".  It was a very gentle practice, but I found myself working hard mentally.  I was very focused on my alignment which I think will be good for me in the long run.  It was a really nice way to start my Sunday morning and I left the mat feeling very grateful that my body is willing to take on an hour of yoga.

My first impression of Rudy Mettia (the instructor on the YW365 series) is that he is a likeable guy.  I enjoy his sense of humor during the practice and he seems very genuine in his desire to provide a quality experience.

I'll keep you posted as I try the other 12 DVDs... I can't wait!
