Well, my first week of The Fast Metabolism Diet is complete.
While there are foods I'm not eating right now, I can't say that I feel deprived at all.
Here are just a few of the delicious meals I've been enjoying...
Phase 3 Chili
Cucumbers with Hummus (not pictured)
I like to cut them up with my fancy chopper & make them look festive!
My favorite Phase 3 breakfast- Ezekiel English Muffin
with Cashew Butter & Berries sprinkled with cinnamon.
My favorite Phase 1 breakfast- Ezekiel bread French Toast with strawberries.
Phase 1 Turkey Chili
Have you ever put zucchini in your chili? I had not- but it was surprisingly good!
Initially I thought that Phase 2 would be the most difficult. The Food List is short. But, since it's mostly protein and veggies I wasn't terribly hungry either so it went well.
However, I forgot to take food pictures during Phase 2. I'll try to remember this week.
Week 2 begins on Monday and I'll go through all 3 Phases again.
Haylie Pomroy (author of The Fast Metabolism Diet: Eat More Food and Lose More Weight)
points out that although the food is the same during week 2,
my body is not. My metabolism is beginning to fire itself up again.
I'll be enjoying more of these goodies this week and I can't wait!
