HBBC Week 4 Recap & Planning Ahead for 2013

Week 4 of the Holiday Bootie Buster Challenge is over already!

My workouts this week were frankly, not all that I had hoped they would be.  

I have also been quite the lousy blogger.

I blame this guy.

But, I also blame a hectic work schedule.  When I'm not being a mom, runner & blogger, I'm a pianist.  This means that December is a crazy busy month.  Even when I have time to exercise, sometimes I don't have the energy & choose a quick power nap instead.  

I'm not proud of this fact, but I do want to be honest about it. 

At the beginning of the week I was feeling a lot of guilt about the quickie workouts.  I had to deal with myself and remember that there are only so many hours in the day.  
Sleep is important. Rest is important. (even if baby beagles don't think so)
Managing stress levels is important.

So, instead of intense runs I've been enjoying walks with my new partner.

He likes to stop and exchange some lovin' on the way.

I find his company to be very therapeutic.

So, here's the week in review:

Monday: 30 min. walk- 1 pt
Fruits & Veggies- 1 pt
Facebook Check-in 1 pt

Tuesday: 1,000 yard swim- 1 pt
Facebook Check-in 1 pt

Wednesday: 30 min. walk- 1 pt
Facebook Check-in 1 pt

Thursday: 30 min. walk- 1 pt
Facebook Check-in 1 pt
Fruits & Veggies 1 pt.

Friday: 30 min. walk- 1 pt
30 min. weights- 1 pt

Saturday: nothing

Goals for Week 5:
Since my workouts are lighter right now I will focus on my nutrition.  
Fruits & Veggies... here I come!

I will incorporate some yoga into at least 4 days this week.

I am already planning for success in 2013.

It includes 8 weeks of workouts and online support.  I have read so many positive reviews for this program that I had to try it out myself.  I'll be giving you updates on this program in January.

I also signed up for 13 in 2013 over at Fitness, Health and Happiness.

Some people are signing up to do a certain distance for 13 races.  
I am just committing to 13 races of some sort.  This will be a challenge for me since I don't generally travel to races.  I'll include a couple of virtual races in my total.
