HBBC Week 2 Recap

Week 2 of the Holiday Bootie Buster Challenge is coming to a close today.

I am loving this group of inspiring women.  This challenge is doing exactly what I hoped it would- keeping me accountable at the time of year when I usually slack off completely.
For instance, on Thursday I didn't feel like doing a thing.
I would have been perfectly glad to lay on my couch and read a book all day.

I even had myself a short list of good excuses.
It was cold outside.  All my nice winter running gear was dirty.
My running shoes are shot & I need a new pair.

I could have easily gone on and on with that list of pathetic excuses.

But then I realized that I was going to have to write a BIG FAT ZERO in my journal
for workout points.  No way- not this girl.

I got my butt going and went for a three mile run.

I looked like a loon with my non-matching running gear, but who cares?
The point is that I got it done and I felt better afterwards.

So here's my report for Week 2:

Weight Lifting 30 mins- 2 pts
2 mile Run- 2 pts
Facebook Check-in- 1 pt

Weight Lifting 15 mins- 1 pt
3 mile Run- 3 pts
Facebook Check-in- 1 pt
7 servings of Fruits & Veggies (!)- 1 pt

30 min. circuit workout- 2 pts
Facebook Check-in- 1 pt
Workout of the Week- 1 pt

3 mile Run- 3 pts
Facebook Check-in- 1 pt
7 servings of Fruits & Veggies- 1 pt

30 min. Swim- 2 pts
Facebook check-in- 1 pt

Week Two Total (so far)... 23
I say so far because I'm writing this on Friday night and I have every intention of racking up
some more points this weekend.
My favorite swim gear
You might notice that I actually managed to get my fruit & veggie points twice this week.
Since that's twice more than last week I'll take it.

What worked?  I had a smoothie for breakfast that was loaded with berries and I made a hot vegetable and a salad at dinner.  I was already getting about 4 servings per day, so it really wasn't that hard to bump it up once I gave the goal a bit of thought.

This week's goal- I'm snagging the fruit & veggie points at least 3 times.

I am also continuing with my Apple Cider vinegar as well as some additional vitamin B12.
More on all that later...
