A Very Thankful What I Ate Wednesday

Here we are friends... we're halfway through the holiday week and we made it to 
What I Ate Wednesday.

As the week moves forward I can't help but realize how much I have to be thankful for.


I'm thankful for my health.  Since 2004 I've spent every Thanksgiving morning except one (stomach flu... yuck) at our local Turkey Trot 5K.  I started out as a walker and now I can call myself a runner.

This year I'll run with Kristina (my BRF) and Katie.

Mandy (below at packet pickup) and Grandma Glo will walk the 5K.

I'm thankful that my family is casual.  
They won't mind when I show up to dinner in my new race shirt.
Revenge of the Turkey- ha!

I'm thankful that I'm a member of a classy local Runner's Club... Turkey Trot wine anyone?

I'm thankful that I found running in my 30's.  It has been a source of sanity for me that I never knew was possible.  I'm thankful for the friends I have made in the running community.
And I'm thankful for fancy-schmancy running socks.  (You could win your own HERE)


I'm thankful that Mandy likes breakfast.  
Sometimes it's my only chance to get food in her belly. 
(Tuesday was a whole grain waffle, peanut butter & banana sandwich)

I'm thankful for a quiet Tuesday night at home with time to make chocolate chip cookies 
for no reason.

I'm thankful for a husband who is willing to grill year-round. (yep, even in a blizzard)

But mostly, I'm thankful for these girlies and the wonderful times we have together.
