Best Night Ever & Being Mean

The whole weekend has passed and I didn't do any blogging!

The good news is that Ken updated our computer and now it's really fast.
Will this make my blog any better?  We'll see.
Don't worry though, I'll still show you the scary pictures of myself.

Friday night Ken & Katie had plans so I got a little alone time with Mandy.

AC Moore had e-mailed me earlier in the day about "I Love Yarn" day
so we high-tailed it up there to check out the sale.

There was a huge bin of clearance yarn and we dug through it all.  Mandy picked out some yarn she liked and asked me to make her a little blanket.  I'm really going to try.  My track record with blankets is not good.  I lose interest in big projects.  But, I'm sure Mandy will nag me enough to keep me going.

After all that hard work, we needed a little treat.

We stopped home to stash our goods and Mandy changed into her pajamas.
She got a big kick out of wearing her PJs in the car to pick Katie up from her school dance.

We had to get in this big line...
...and wait for Miss Katie to be done socializing and get in the car.

Mandy told me it was the best night ever.  She even got teary and said she didn't want it to end.

I'm always amazed at the things that make the kiddos happy.
She just liked having a bit of one on one time together.

We headed back home and Ken joined us soon after.  Then we got the geckos out for awhile.
Those little guys are always entertaining.

I've got more good stuff to tell you about my yoga class (always worth talking about)
but I think I'll save that for a different post.

Today we're sharing the first webisode of "Mom & Me".  This project is becoming very important for us.  Katie & I are talking about anything related to tweens & teens.  We're navigating this part of life right now and I know that many of you are doing the same.

We're starting conversations and we hope you'll chime in with your reactions.

Today's topic:
Why Are We So Mean to Ourselves?

I'm determined to stop insulting myself in front of these girls.

We'll share all our videos over at MomTV.com and upload a new webisode every Monday.

We'd love to know what you think and hear any suggestions you might have for future topics.
