A Change Will Do You Good

Jr. High has been a big change for Katie.

Ask her what she likes about it and she'll say "the lockers".
That's right, she likes her own place to stash her stuff.

Other than that, it's been a bit of a roller coaster.

She joined the cross-country team- she quit the cross country team.

She quit the Trumpet and started playing the French Horn.

We've been trying to help her make the transition and mostly she's doing fine.
But, as with any new situation, there are stressful times.

We are learning together that a new school does things differently.
(Jr. High teachers really like to talk about the dress code.)

And her workload is not actually more than in elementary school, but it's certainly different.
She's doing more long-term projects and accessing the internet for information and practice.

We've started referring to Ken as "tech-support".

I'm also pretty sure I'm going to need to buy a truck load of HP Printer Ink cartridges.

I made a little video about our new HP wireless printer and Jr. High.  Enjoy!
