August Foodie Pen Pals & What To Do With My Big Vegetables?

I love my garden so much lately.

I will be so sad when the weather changes and I have to buy normal sized vegetables at the grocery store.

Today my little garden produced 2 ginormous jalapenos.
I have no idea what to do with them, but I don't want to waste them on something boring.
Suggestions are welcome in the comments below!

This morning I finally roasted up my big eggplant with some zucchini & tomatoes.

I could smell those guys the whole time I was doing my Jillian Michaels DVD.
I can't decide if that lady wants to get me in shape or kill me.  Perhaps its just a little of both.

Today is August Foodie Pen Pal reveal day.
My box came from the lovely Samantha.

That girl knows how to pac a fun Foodie Pen Pal box!

We started with olive tapenade and Justin's nut butters.
The only thing I can't understand is that Samantha said that she doesn't enjoy nut butters.
What?  I don't understand that.

(The tapenade was delicious!)

She also included Granola Crisps (blueberry) which were delicious.
Now, the Dark Chocolate Pomegranate was ridiculously good.  I may or may not have eaten the entire bag without sharing with anyone. I'm not sorry.

She also included a couple cute kitchen decorations which ended up being very timely.
We just included them in our kitchen re-do.

This little cast iron skillet is by far my favorite part...
Can you see what it says?
"Dieter's Skillet" Y'know, for those of us who watch our portion sizes. Too cute!

Thanks Samantha!
