Hello friends! It's only been two days since my last post, but it feels like forever.
We've had lots of things going on around here.
Mandy had a birthday.
I'm having a hard time believing that my baby is nine years old already.
We invited friends and family and celebrated this really cool kid at Claytopia. She requested a cookie cake. One year she insisted on Boston Creme Pie. I don't think Mandy has ever had just a "regular" birthday cake. Readers who know this girl will not be surprised- she has always been quite a character. I just love her to pieces.
We also started painting our house this weekend.
I must tell you, I think running half marathons is easier than this job.
Ken & I painted all day on Friday and I'm sorry to say that I skipped my run on Saturday. I was sore and tired and I just didn't want to do it.
But that's the great thing about the run- it's always there when I'm ready to come back to it.
I got up this morning and spent 45 mins. running hard on my treadmill.
I feel better. I feel like myself again.
My garden has been giving up all kinds of goodies this week.
So I made myself this big salad last night.
And then I ate this big dessert.
Meanwhile, the whole family is getting ready to go back to school. Keeping track of these people can get tricky. I think I have a solution to the piles of paper that come home.
You know I'm not one to keep things to myself, so I made a little video about it. Enjoy!
