What I Ate Wednesday

Wednesday is becoming my favorite blog day!

It's What I Ate Wednesday, where Jenn over at Peas & Crayons hosts a big link-up for bloggers who like talking about and looking at food.

July is Fun, Food & Fitness month, so here we go.

This week's breakfast has continued to be my favorite smoothie
made in my Magic Bullet.

Thanks to my grocery store having a BOGO sale on berries it's looking pretty purple these days.

Also for breakfast today, I had a little dose of Yoga with my old friend Sara Ivanhoe.  I've been so focused on weight-lifting and half marathon training that I've totally neglected yoga and other stretching.  My hips did not let this little fact go unnoticed this morning.  I can't tell you how good it felt to get on the mat and stretch it all out!  I tried not to be too irritated with how much flexibility I have lost.

I usually inhale drink the smoothie on the road as we head
to swim team practice.
Mandy always looks cold at swimming.

I've been wearing my snazzy running shoes to the pool and running or walking while the girls practice in the morning. I love the neighborhood around their pool.  It's mostly flat and shady which has been very welcome this past week.

Lunch today was easy cheesy veggies and a pop cake with
almond butter on it.  Yummy.

My afternoon snack was a Flatout with some CocoBananas PB Crave inside and a clementine.

For dinner last night, we had salad, FRESH corn on the cob (I love swinging into a roadside stand on the way home) and tilapia filets.

I forgot to take a picture for you- forgive me?

Then I whipped up some 3-ingredient-fudge- a la StuftMama.

The 3 ingredients are:
1/2 ripe banana
2 TBSP unsweetened cocoa (Stuft Mama likes Dark chocolate- I use regular)

I used a whole banana and doubled the other ingredients.
I also got to use my favorite spoon since it measures 2 TBSP.

At the last minute I decided to add a splash of Torani sugar free sweetener in Raspberry.
Remember, I bought quite a bit.

Have a great day & eat some great food!
