Don't worry, I'm not going to rant today. I'm done- moving on!
There are just a couple of things I want to tell you before I start weekend-ing.
First, it's been HOT here this week. I ran while the girls had their swim practice on Thursday morning and thought I was going to melt.
I seriously considered getting in the pool with Mandy's group. I would have done anything that coach said to do if she'd just agree to let me go in the water. But, this is good training- my half marathon is on July 15th. The chances of getting 60 degree temps are slim to none.
It's always hot at the PI half marathon.
Katie & I snapped this pic for you after I ran & she got out of the pool.
We're tired, but happy.
I am a slow runner. Normally this doesn't bother me at all.
Forward is a pace, right?
But at last year's PI Half I was mad. After the race I read all these great posts from friends who were excited that there was watermelon at the finish line. Watermelon? What watermelon?
That's right- the fast people were hogs and ate it all before I got there.
So if you're reading this and you're running the PI Half, have a heart! There are people behind you who want some of that!
A terrible thing happened this week- we ran out of PB Crave. We had to look longingly at this picture...
...but it didn't stop the craving. But don't worry!
The mailman brought a new box today! I love Amazon!
Also, let's just take a moment to say RIP Thor. My little goldfish had to be flushed last night. I'm going to miss that little guy when I come down in the morning to make coffee.
Also, I've resisted getting into Twitter up until now. Honestly, social media can just be so addictive that I didn't want to go there. But ultimately I decided that I needed to go ahead and tweet so that I could give away more free stuff to people who like that sort of thing.
So, if you are already part of the Twitter community follow me- @krwblog! (I even put the little button up there for you)
I'll follow you back if you want!
In other news, the nice people at BodyMedia are sending me one of their CORE armbands to try out and review.
I'm super excited about this! I confess to being a bit of a gadget girl.
I'm really interested in how this will help me meet my nutrition and health goals.
I'll let you know how it works out!
I need to get hydrating! I've got a ten mile run planned in the morning.
That's really a lot for me so I'm glad Kristina (BRF) is joining me for some of it.
So how are you weekend-ing?
I hope it's fantastic!
