We made it to the end of the week! Today is a beautiful, sunny day and the kids have been outside for most of it. As I'm writing, there is a heated whiffle-ball game going on in my side yard. I keep hearing the ball whack the side of the house when someone misses.
Earlier today my fit kids and their cousin, Brian were outside riding bikes.
They rode around the block to see if Grandma was at her house, but she was not home. My mom lives about 1/4 mile from my house, so when the kids say, "Can we call & see if Grandma is home?"
I usually say, "Why don't you just go check?".
Any chance to fit some movement into the day is just fine with me.
Mandy is still learning to ride her bike. She practices coasting in front of the house but she remains really nervous about the whole idea. A little motivation from the big kids was definitely helpful today. I'm sure she'll take off soon. In the meantime, she prefers her scooter.
So we did it! Five days of intentionally moving for the kids. Usually, this project meant that Mama got a little extra exercise in the day as well. Chasing them up the street counts, right?
How did your kids get sweaty this week?
